| Jeff
Elliott |

Jeff started judo at the
grand old age of 30 at Heanor Judo
Club where he became chairman and assistant
coach. Over the years Jeff has coached at
Heanor, Hill Top, and Nunsfield before
moving to Derby Judo Club where he spent 5
years assisting Jack Palmer. After a short
spell of coaching at Bay 16 JC, he opened
Portland Judo Club in 1996. Jeff is chief
coach and chairman . Jeff was the
Midland Area Nage no Kata champion and
National silver medallist in the same event
for 2001. As with all coaches at Portland
Judo Club, Jeff is a qualified BJA coach.

Terri Elliott |
|

Terri has been doing judo since she was 6
years old and has a vast knowledge of the
sport and coaching. She has won many
major competitions and represented Great
Britain in the past. She is a second dan and
now works for the BJA teaching judo in
schools.

Phil Herd |
|
|
Phil, our primary school teacher, has been
practising the art for about 10 years
attaining his first dan in November 2004. He
then acquired his coaching certificate just
after in January 2005. |

Wendy
Williams |
|
|
Wendy started judo when
she was 17. She achieved her first dan in
January 2006 and her coaching certificate
about a year later. |
